The story

Built by a parent. For parents.

Lil Sheets started with one frustrated evening, a printer that was out of ink, and a first-grader who needed three more math problems before bedtime.

Why this exists

A few years ago, I was helping my kiddo with homework when she blurted out, "Can we do more math tomorrow, but with dinosaurs?" I said sure — and then spent forty-five minutes trying to find a printable worksheet about dinosaurs that (a) matched her grade level, (b) wasn't buried behind a $9.99/month subscription, and (c) didn't look like it was designed in 1997.

I never found one. So the next weekend I sat down and built the first version of Lil Sheets. It was ugly. It only did addition. But it worked. And my kid actually asked to do "another dinosaur sheet" the next night.

What Lil Sheets does

It generates fresh, playful printable worksheets on demand — math, reading, and coloring — themed around whatever your kid is obsessed with this week. Space rockets. Ocean creatures. Farm animals. Whatever gets them to sit down and actually want to work on letters or numbers.

Every sheet comes with an answer key at the bottom so grading takes about ten seconds. There's no login, no trial, no "enter your email to download." You pick your options, hit print, and you're done.

How it stays free

The site is supported by a few non-intrusive ads on the landing page. Ads don't appear on the printable worksheet itself — that stays clean for your printer, your fridge, and your kid.

That's it. No upsells, no email capture, no "Pro tier" locked behind a paywall. If you find Lil Sheets useful, the best thing you can do is share it with another parent or teacher who might need it too.

Who's behind it

Lil Sheets is a small independent project — just one person, a laptop, and a lot of hours spent making sure the math problems actually add up correctly. If something's broken, drop me a note. If your kid has a theme request, I want to hear that too.

Thanks for being here. Now go print something fun.
